Gravel Road was honored to be asked to be a part of a performance art installation by artist Ted Riederer for his Never Records project. Ted wanders the world in search of unusual and authentic sounds - which he then records direct to vinyl disk (aka an old school record album). The vanishing art of field recording to permanent media is an important archival technique and Ted is on a crusade to keep it available to capture “sound in the wild” Naturally and without the artifice of fancy recording studios.
